If you’ve ever dreamed about wearing the opposition’s colors at Yankee Stadium and cranking a ball out of the yard, your chance is here….for a few more hours anyway.
State Farm and MLB are doing a Call Your Shot program at this year’s Home Run Derby during the 2008 MLB All-Star game, the final one to be played at Yankee Stadium. To commemorate this historic occasion, the guys and gals at State Farm and Major League Baseball put together a nice little prize package for the Grand Prize winner that includes:
- All-expense paid trip for four to the All-Star Game and State Farm Home Run Derby
- First class hotel accommodations in New York
- Tickets to a Broadway show $1,000 MasterCard gift card
But as the game show hosts say, that’s not all! This winner will then pick a spot where two of the Home Run Derby hitters must smack a ball. If the first player hits the ball to the called spot, the promotion is over. If either player succeeds, the fan gets a 2008 Chevy Tahoe hybrid and season tickets for any team. Considering how high tickets are in New York (and Boston for that matter), this grand prize winner is going to be a pretty happy dude or dudette for quite a while.
